"Bug Warrior," Spring 2022

"Bug Warrior" started as a character modeling study, under the guidance of Jeff Nichols and Catherin Cubillan, from DreamWorks Animation. It eventually evolved into a 20 second "moving portrait." I had the pleasure of working with the talented Hannah Klein, whose surfacing work inspired me to rig and animate these characters. Although the beetle seems to be more of a main character, I had the most fun figuring out ways to animate snail locomotion -- even though I took some artistic liberties! I also had a blast in Nuke with the comp work.
